PhotonSport integration
PhotonSport speed, next to your force data
Kinexis reads PhotonSport alongside every VALD platform, so speed and timing sit on the same athlete profile as force, strength and movement — with the interpretation written automatically. Other timing and tracking systems can be added on request.

The manual version
What PhotonSport reporting costs you by hand.
Speed data lives in its own platform, force data lives in VALD, and the athlete who is slower this month than last is a question nobody can answer without opening both and lining the dates up by hand. Most teams never join the two — so the strength–speed relationship that should drive the programme stays invisible.
What PhotonSport measures
- Sprint split times and total time
- Peak and average velocity
- Acceleration profile across the run
- Change-of-direction and agility times
- Session-to-session and seasonal trend
What Kinexis writes automatically
PhotonSport flags, written in plain English.
- Speed or split-time drop versus the athlete's own baseline
- Acceleration deficit relative to squad or position norms
- Speed change alongside the same week's force-plate and strength flags
- Return-to-sprint milestones versus the RTP plan
- Testing overdue or missing
Why one profile matters
A 10-metre split that has slipped, a NordBord eccentric drop and a CMJ concentric-impulse asymmetry in the same fortnight is not three separate observations — it is one athlete's story. Kinexis puts speed and force on the same profile so that story is read, not reconstructed.
Guides
Reading your PhotonSport data
Practitioner guides on interpreting the numbers — the thresholds, the trends and the traps.
How to read a ForceDecks report: every metric, what a good number looks like, and when to worry
The dozen CMJ metrics that matter, what they mean, and how to read them against the athlete's own history rather than a generic norm.

NordBord results explained: max force, N/kg, imbalance % and what counts as a red flag

Questions

VALD Hub already shows me my data. What does Kinexis add?+
VALD Hub is excellent for viewing each system on its own. It does not unify all five platforms — or your PhotonSport speed data — into one analytical athlete view, it does not write interpretation flags, and it does not produce coach-facing reports. Kinexis sits on top of your VALD accounts and does those three things — typically replacing 5–6 hours of manual work per testing week.
We already have Power BI and an analyst.+
Kinexis started life as a Power BI system, so we understand exactly what that setup can do. The web app removes the licence cost, refresh limits and DAX maintenance, and the interpretation engine — the part that writes the flags — is the piece no generic analyst builds. Your analyst gets their week back for the questions only they can answer.
How is athlete data handled?+
Data is pulled using your organisation's own VALD credentials and stored in a database dedicated to you. We are happy to sign a data processing agreement and work within GDPR or your organisation's requirements, and can deploy a dedicated instance if you need one.
What does it cost?+
A one-time setup fee plus a monthly subscription that covers hosting, maintenance, upgrades and support. It is scoped to squad size and the VALD platforms you use — confirmed on a short call, never quoted blind.
